"Serbian Congress Ambassador 2024" Awards Ceremony

On Monday, December 9th, at the Hyatt Regency Belgrade, the Serbia Convention Bureau marked its 17th anniversary by hosting the prestigious “Serbian Congress Ambassador 2024” awards ceremony.

 

The Director of the National Tourism Organisation of Serbia, Marija Labović, presented this esteemed recognition to outstanding individuals whose work and dedication have significantly contributed to promoting Serbia as a leading destination for international and European congresses. Their efforts play a crucial role in strengthening Serbia’s global reputation in the meetings industry.

 

Recipients of the “Serbian Congress Ambassador 2024” Award:

Prim. Dr. Aleksandar Saša Jokić – Specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, subspecialist in Balneoclimatology, and Director of the Rehabilitation Center in Banja Koviljača.

Dr. Ivana Ivančev Tumbas – Full Professor at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Environmental Protection.

Dejan Bojović – Graduate Mining Engineer and Board Member of the European Demolition, Decontamination, and Recycling Association (EDA).

Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Karamarković – Full Professor of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, and Director of the Nikola Spasić Surgical Clinic at the Clinical Hospital Center Zvezdara.

Prof. Dr. Bojana Kovačević Petrović – Professor of Hispanic Literature and Culture at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad.

Dr. Miroslav Nikolić – Research Advisor at the Institute for Multidisciplinary Research, University of Belgrade, and current President of the International Society for Silicon in Agriculture.

Denis Novak – Founder of Novak Veterinary Clinic in Belgrade, member of the British Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and recipient of prestigious international awards for contributions to the veterinary profession.

Milja Stijović – Senior Curator and expert in Cultural Studies, Art, Film, Literature, and the Digitization of Cultural Heritage.

 

Serbia continues to strengthen its position on the global congress stage, with a growing number of international events and visitors. These awards reaffirm the country’s increasing significance in the business events industry.
